बढ्दो ऊर्जा संकटका कारण अन्य व्यवसायहरु संकटमा परिरहेको समयमा र्याफटिङ व्यवसायीहरुले भने ऊर्जा संकट हटाउन गरिने विद्युतगृह निर्माणका कारण र्याफटिङ व्यवसाय धराशयी हुन लागेकोमा चिन्ता प्रकट गरेका छन्। नेपाल एसोसिएसन अफ र्याफटिङ एजेन्ट्स (नारा) ले शुक्रबार सम्पन्न १९औं वाषिर्क उत्सवमा र्याफटिङ व्यवसायीहरुले सम्पर्ण् हिमनदीहरुमा विद्युत्गृह निर्माणको क्रम बढेकाले र जथाभावी तवरले ड्याम निर्माण गरेका कारण पर्वतारोहणपछिको दोस्रो व्यवसायको रुपमा रहको र्याफटिङ संकटमा परेको जनाए

आजदेखि सातामा ८२ घण्टा ‘लोडसेडिङ’

आजदेखि नेपाली विद्युत् उपभोक्ताले हप्ताको ८२ घण्टा लोडसेडिङको सामना गर्नुपर्ने भएको छ । नेपाल विद्युत् प्राधिकरण भार सम्प्रेषण विभागका प्रमुख शेरसिंह भाटका अनुसार हप्ताको छ दिनमा १२ घण्टा र एक दिन १० घण्टा लोडसेडिङ हुने भएको छ । प्रमुख भाटले गोरखापत्रसँग शनिबार राती भन्नुभयो, "हाल माग दिनप्रतिदिन बढेर दैनिक एक करोड आठ लाख युनिटभन्दा बढी भइरहेको छ तर नदीमा पानी सुक्दै गएका कारण विद्युत् आपूर्ति मुस्किलले ७० लाख युनिट हुन सकेको छ

लोडसेडिङले ग्रस्त नयाँ नेपाल

सय वाटको साधारण चिमले गर्ने काम २० वाटको सिएफएल चिमबाट लिन सकिन्छ र विद्युत् महसुल ८० प्रतिशतसम्म बचत गर्न सकिन्छ । त्यसैले लोडसेडिङ कम गर्न नागरिकको पनि उत्तिकै भूमिका हुनुपर्छ । प्राविधिक रूपले हेर्दा ठूला उत्पादन क्षमताका आयोजना निर्माण थोरै संख्यामा गर्नुभन्दा साना क्षमताका आयोजना धेरै संख्यामा निर्माण गर्नु बढी फलदायी हुनेछ । किनकि, ठूला आयोजनामा केही प्राविधिक कठिनाइ उत्पन्न

Only 3,000 MW possible in 10 years: Sandip Shah

It is a welcome step forward. But you need to back your vision with plans, programmes, policies and implementation strategies which are not there yet. A 15- member high level political committee has been formed, but it needs more professional input. There are very serious developers in Nepal who are pursuing projects at different stages. There are projects of 2,800 MW worth in serious development. If all of that can come through by 2015 or 2018 — I will be very happy. So let's say 3,000 MW, that is quite possible. With the current government machinery, 10,000 MW is not possible

Govt declares power crisis

Declaring a "national electricity crisis", the government on Thursday introduced National Electricity Crisis Resolution Working Plan 2065 (2008 AD) in a bid to cope with the increasing power shortfall.The working plan approved by the cabinet yesterday includes altogether 35 plans—25 short-term, three mid-term and seven long-term programmes

तापीय ऊर्जा प्लान्टबाट उत्पादित बिजुलीको प्रतियुनिट लागतको अन्तरमा अनुदान दिने व्यवस्था सरकारले गरेको मन्त्री पौडेलले बताउनुभयो। मन्त्रिपरिषद्द्वारा स्वीकृत सो कार्ययोजनामा २५ वटा तत्कालीन, तीन वटा अल्पकालीन र सात वटा दीर्घकालीन गरी कुल ३५ बुँदा रहेका छन्

NEA changes electricity purchase policy

Likewise, under the new PPA policy commercial power producing projects up to 25 megawatts will get Rs. 7 per unit in dry season and Rs. 4 in the rainy season, an increment by 26.8 and 2.6 per cent respectively compared to the earlier PPA policy. In line with PPAs, NEA will increase power purchase rate by 3.0 per cent in nine times within the next three years’ period from the time of its commercial production

Threat to halt Arun III project

The Indigenous People’s Rights Forum today threatened to halt the activities of the 402-megawatt Arun III hydroelectricity project, if the demands they put forth to the government and Indian energy company, Sutlej Corporation, were not met. During an interaction with Sutlej Corporation, the indigenous people’s leaders said they were not assured whether their demands would be met even when the detailed survey for the project had begun
