After flood in the Koshi River breached the three temporary cofferdams constructed to alter the river’s course on Tuesday night, the Indian contractor has speeded up reconstruction and repair work on the spurs and embankment from Thursday afternoon.
Sheetal Babu Regmi, joint secretary at the Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR), who is at the Koshi site said, Basistha and Basistha, the Indian contractor has started reconstruction and repair work as the water level in the river started decreasing after rain stopped from Thursday afternoon

The flooded Koshi River breached all three cofferdams (temporary dams or pilot channels built to alter the Koshi's course during reconstruction of the embankment) on Tuesday night, after the water level rose significantly.
The breaching of cofferdams has raised serious threats of Koshi havoc this monsoon as reconstruction and repair is still underway at the Koshi site

With rivers witnessing a slight increase in discharge due to sporadic rainfall, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is planning to marginally reduce power outage hours from next week, an official said on Friday. The cut in outage hours is yet to be worked out.
On April 17, the state-owned power monopoly had brought down daily power outage to 12 hours from 16.

Senior government officials and noted experts have come up with an idea that can be instrumental in tackling the country´s acute power shortage relatively cheaply and fast.
Huge volumes of water can be stored during the monsoon season with dams built in open and flat areas in the foothills of the high Himalayas, with the water to be used during the dry season by hydro-power projects located in the lower regions.
Experts argue that this idea can be an appropriate answer

If there are such references, in my assessment that was not the final document. There are different documents and maybe some tendency inside the party [to look at things that way] but in the final document a more pragmatic conclusion is there. I stand by my position that the east-west railway is very important for us, and without India it cannot be fulfilled. I have talked about the Chisapani project. I am in favour of having those kinds of megaprojects with India’s cooperation
